By popular request for a reliable noncommercial platform for regional artists from the surroundings of Steyr, Linz, Wels and Voecklabruck in Upper Austria, Christoph Elmer decided to establish the music label ‘elmart’ (electronic music art) in the year of 2005.
In 2007, Joaquin Phunk and Mike Absolom joined the label to reinvent elmart. In 2008, Christoph Elmer signed the two talents Mike Turrento and Tom Barkley.
The unique and distinctive way of making music characterizes these artists and has become the central focus of elmart. Through creativity and innovativeness, elmart aims to avoid fading in with the nameless crowd. The label’s core interest is to give young ambitious artists the chance to live their music and fulfill their dreams.
